Burna Boy to be 1st Nigerian Artist to Headline Madison Square Garden

Burna Boy, the Afro-fusion sensation, will be the first Nigerian artist to perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City in spring 2022.

On April 28, he will play a one-night-only event titled “Burna Boy Presents One Night in Space.”

The MSG event follows the Grammy-winning artist’s other spectacular arena performances this year at London’s O2 and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, as well as coast-to-coast festival appearances at Governors Ball and Outside Lands in New York and San Francisco, respectively.

The singer also took to his Instagram story on Tuesday to announce the live stream of the concert on YouTube.

“Hello my beautiful African people, this is Burna boy. Catch me live on YouTube at my one-night in space concert happening at Madison Square Garden, New York City,” he said.

The live stream is expected to begin at 9 p.m. ET on the day of the sold-out performance.

Limited edition items has been developed for sale in honor of the show. Shirts, hats, hoodies, crewnecks, and tote bags will be available, with prices ranging from $25 to $100.

After releasing ‘Like to Party,’ the lead song from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E,’ Burna Boy began to garner notoriety (2013).

After his album ‘Twice As Tall’ won the Grammy for ‘Best World Music Album,’ the singer set a record in Nigeria in 2021.

With numerous honors and critically praised records, Burna Boy has established himself as a household figure in the music industry.
