American musician Chris Brown has surprisingly referenced embattled Nigerian scammer, Hushpuppi in the remix of the hit single ‘Monalisa‘.

On Lojay’s Monalisa remix, Chris Brown controversially spat out a line that goes like: “In this life, me & you will chop life like Hushpuppy”.

Hushpuppi, real name Ramon Abbas, is a 39 year-old  Nigerian man.

He was arrested in Dubai months ago and was transferred to the United States where he is facing criminal charges.

He has been charged for conspiracy to launder money obtained from business email compromise frauds and other scams.

Hushpuppi is also standing trial for other schemes  that allegedly defrauded a US law firm of about $40 million.

He was also accused of illegally transferring $14.7 million from a foreign financial institution, and planning to steal $124 million from an English football club until his arrest by the Dubai Police in June 2020. He was extradited to the United States following his arrest.

Prior to his arrest, he was a popular Instagram celebrity who flaunted his luxurious cars on social media.

African Entertainment’s check on Hushpuppi’s official Instagram page showed that he was a man who was known for ostentatiously dressing in designer clothes ranging from Fendi to Louis Vuitton.

In one of his Instagram post before his arrest in Dubai, he pride himself as the man whom fashionistas around the world follow “to get updates” on new designer wears.

His life was one characterized by enjoyment  – driving luxury cars, wearing the best and latest designer wears, sleeping in top hotels in Dubai and around the world, and flying in private jet or first class.
