Pat McDermott: You See It

Christopher Cutts Gallery is pleased to announce its 4th solo exhibition of new paintings by Pat McDermott.

In his most recent body of work, Pat has extended his investigation into the relevance of painting. He has created an arresting body of work that contains a pared-down aesthetic. The paintings, which are small in scale, are rich in appeal. They are eloquent and beautiful.

Pat McDermott’s accompanying statement proclaims that: Painting is thinking… Painting is a place for clarity… Painting is both expression and participation. My paintings exist in a moment of something happening.

The show will open Saturday, June 4, from 2 pm – 6 pm, with the artist in attendance. On Thursday, June 16 at 7 pm, McDermott will be in the gallery hosting a talk about his practice and his latest body of work. The exhibition runs until July 2. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday, 10 am – 6 pm.
