SkyWorld achieves 2021 milestones with customer-centric approach

SKYWORLD Development Group, a city developer, reached significant milestones in the fiscal year 2021 (FY2021).

The company’s chief executive officer, Lee Chee Seng, said that 2021 had been a satisfying year for the SkyWorld team, with higher sales, new products, new partnerships and more.

The first significant achievement, he said, was the sale of more than RM1 billion in property in FY2021.

“Despite the pandemic, our projects had a positive sales outcome. We listened to our customers’ needs as well as the ever-increasing market demands and developed products to meet those needs,” he stated.

SkyWorld also completed its latest development, SkyMeridien Residences in Sentul East, on time amid the pandemic and is handing over to the respective owners.

Lee said the company is confident that SkyMeridien homeowners will be pleased with the facilities and quality workmanship.

SkyMeridien features 32 resort-style facilities, including an Olympic-length pool, indoor, outdoor and hydro gyms, an arcade games room, a lounge/co-working space, multi-sport facilities and many more.

SkyWorld’s position as a top city developer of modern and integrated developments was further cemented in 2021, according to Lee, with a slew of prestigious awards.

The developer was crowned two distinctive Asia Pacific Property Awards, and it took home seven BIG Wins in the StarProperty Awards 2021.

Furthermore, SkyWorld ranked Top 20 in The Edge Property Excellence Award 2021, and it won the Best Employers 2021 Award, the fourth recognition by Kincentric.

“Unprecedented scenarios have not only changed the way we do things, but have also highlighted the importance of building homes where you belong and achieving high standards and quality,” he said.

Established in 2008, SkyWorld was founded by Datuk Seri Ng Thien Phing, a savvy entrepreneur with diversified business interests in training and education, IT rental & solutions and property development. He established SkyWorld with one vision in mind — to be the best city developer that provides the ultimate sky living experience for the city communities in a sustainable environment.

According to Lee, the vision is as simple as ABCD, or ‘Always Best City Developer’.

SkyWorld launched its “You & I” branding campaign, which encapsulates the true essence of the developer as a customer-centric company.

Through this campaign, SkyWorld is looking to further amplify the company’s commitment to its customers, as customer satisfaction is the utmost priority.

According to Lee, ‘You’ represents the customers, and ‘I’ represents SkyWorld.

“Together, You & I make great things happen by giving ‘Living’ a whole new meaning. We only do things that matter to our customers. We put our customers first and we strive to provide the best customer service, even before they become our homebuyers.

“The journey to a new home is long and painful, therefore during the key collection day, we want to make it a memorable one!

“We provide personalised Handing Over Vacant Possession (HOVP) to all our valued purchasers. We bring them to tour the facilities, car park bays, walk them into their units, go through the handover checklist and teach them how to submit defects using the SkyWorld Connects App,” Lee said.

SkyWorld Connects App is a user-friendly application created especially for SkyWorld Homeowners. It serves as a dedicated platform for effective and efficient communications between SkyWorld owners, residents, management and its security team.

The company has invested RM1 million to develop the app. Some of the features include making key collection appointments, defects submission, facilities booking, advance visitor registration, a list of useful contacts and many more.

To further enhance customer experience, SkyWorld launched Solution Plus (Solution+), Malaysia’s first ecosystem and enhanced e-commerce platform that connects SkyWorld homeowners and home solution traders.

“Solution+ is created to provide conveniences, all at your fingertips. SkyWorld homeowners can enjoy great savings and special packages from preferred home solutions partners, thanks to the Crowd Deals. All Solution+ partners were carefully selected through a stringent selection process, and among the partners are Electrolux, Panasonic, Samsung, Buenos Kitchen, Maju Home Concept, BestMas and Profound Axis.

Lee continued, “SkyWorld received a positive response during the soft launch of Solution+ this year, with sales of more than RM2.8 million transacted within a week for its SkyMeridien Residences in Sentul and SkyAwani 3 in Setapak.”

“At SkyWorld, we create a culture that focuses on delivering amazing customer experience, even before they buy our products. We strive to ‘Do Things That Matter To The Customers’. When we build our property, we always imagine how it would benefit the owners. We first ask ourselves if our innovative ideas increase efficiency and maximise convenience, hence it is very important to understand our purchasers’ mindset and the market demands. To date, SkyWorld has fully handed over five projects, with Ascenda Residences being the first project which was handed over in 2017. Its HOVP team worked hard to render their best services and they have achieved over 90 per cent 5-Star customer service rating.

GREAT THINGS AHEAD FOR SKYWORLD HOMEBUYERS

According to Lee, SkyWorld won’t rest on its laurels and will continue to develop outstanding projects that make a mark in the industry.

“We will continue to source high-value land pockets across the city within established localities that enjoy excellent connectivity, amenities and public transport. We will also continue to focus on high-rise residential and explore commercial offerings as we believe in wholesome living in a sustainable environment,” he said.

For upcoming launches, Lee revealed that SkyWorld is gearing up to launch four projects this year in highly sought-after locations such as Setapak, Setiawangsa, Cheras and Taman Melawati.

“To ensure SkyWorld can design homes that are ideal for homebuyers, we need to understand what the market wants and needs. We will be launching a co-creation platform enabling public engagement to share their thoughts, preferences, desires, so we have a better understanding of the requirements when designing our upcoming developments,” he said.
