HENRYVILLE — A worker died Monday afternoon after he was crushed by a pipe in a workplace on Route 133 in Henryville, 50 kilometres southeast of Montreal.
According to the Sûreté du Québec, the accident was reported at 3:33 p.m. at 235 Route 133, the address of Peinture D’Hauterive and Compagnie Dhaunier. The 43-year-old victim was hit by the pipe while it was being moved using a forklift.
The SQ is investigating, as is the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST), to determine what happened.
